Thank you very much for choosing Eagle Eye for your typewriter needs! I aim to provide a smooth and easy experience for you to choose, receive safely, and learn all there is to know about your new old machine.
Typewriters can be counterintuitive — certain models even confuse me from time to time! If you encounter any issues with your machine upon receiving it, please take pictures of the typewriter and the packaging and I can help make things right. I encourage you to contact me, either through email or phone, and I would be glad to help you out with it. It is possible that it may have a function to lock the carriage for safety in shipping that wasn’t undone, but in the event of any shipping damage I make sure the machine is always shipped insured and will be glad to make things right.
If a machine is damaged in shipping, a refund will be provided promptly –however, you may need to send pictures of the damage for me to file a shipping insurance claim. Depending on the damage, you can also choose to send the machine back for repair. If a refund is issued, I may ask you to send the machine back to me with a prepaid label.
If a machine fails within 90 days of your receiving it, please contact me and I will be glad to help you — either by explaining how to use it, or by offering a warranty repair with shipping on me if the machine does have a defect. Unfortunately I cannot cover damage caused by misuse of the machine, including dropping and tampering.
