We Buy Typewriters!

Here at Eagle Eye, we buy typewriters, too! Whether you have a pristine Olympia or an Underwood in need of repair, we’re willing to evaluate and purchase it, or apply its value as a trade-in against one of our very own restored machines. Keep in mind that shipping a typewriter bears risk, and while we’re always happy to help with packing instructions, we’ll usually be able to pay more if you’re close to our home base in San Antonio.

Typewriters online range from extremely overpriced to dirt cheap, so it’s hard to track the “market value” of a machine. We’re more than willing to discuss the credit value of your typewriter as well as the reason behind our evaluation, to make sure you know the reasoning behind our estimate.

We accept most non-working typewriters or machines in need of service, but be warned, if you bring us a real bad rust bucket, we’ll likely suggest you use it as a boat anchor. And of course, any donations in any condition are always heartily appreciated!
